APAAACI Presidential Message: July/August 2022



Dear Friends and Colleagues, My heartiest greetings to all of you! I would like to start by thanking the APAAACI Board of Directors, Committee Chairs and members, International advisors, faculties and National Member Societies for their valuable contributions, collaborations and collective efforts for the specialty and our delegates. We have an exciting line up of activities to look forward to. Most notably, Prof. Rommel Lobo, President, PSAAI and I would like to invite you to join us at the APAAACI 2022 Congress PSAAI@50 that will take place in Manila from 5-8 December this year.

The theme of the Congress is 'Evidence Based Integrated Care in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology: The New Frontiers'. More details here The Congress will be jointly hosted by APAAACI and the Philippine Society of Allergy Asthma and Immunology (PSAAI). With a greater element of prestige, it will also be a golden jubilee celebration of the PSAAI.

EAACI & APAAACI Joint Symposium 2022

Once again APAAACI collaborated with EAACI at the EAACI 2022 in Prague with the EAACI & APAAACI joint symposium on ‘Prevention and novel treatment strategies for allergic diseases; role of Probiotics, prebiotics and OIT’.


With a fully packed room and an active discussion the speakers comprised of Prof. Ruby Pawankar (Japan), Prof. Jiu Yao Wang ( Taiwan) and Prof. Mimi Tang( Australia).

PSAAI National Allergy Day 2022

The PSAAI National Allergy Day is targeted towards enhancing the awareness of the public on Allergic diseases.

Asia-Pacific Perspectives on the Second Year of the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Follow-up Survey : Clinical Experimental Allergy The Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic is currently in its third year. A follow-up survey was commissioned by the APAAACI Task Force on COVID-19 to compare and contrast changes in the epidemiology, clinical profile, therapeutics and public health measures of the pandemic in the Asia Pacific region.
